Media Kit

This section showcases several design samples I have created in a media kit of collateral material, handouts, social media graphics and promotional documents. Each piece is crafted to enhance brand visibility, drive engagement and deliver impactful storytelling.

Business Card, Letterhead & Envelope

I designed a business card, letterhead and envelope for the Oklahoma Route 66 Centennial Commission. The collateral material was created for stakeholders and businesses interested in the commission. They were made to inform target audiences of information pertaining to the commission and coordinator contact information. I curated brand identity by using identifiable colors, typography and the logo. Using Adobe InDesign, I completed this on May 29, 2024. The collateral material showcased my skills in forming a brand personality. I learned how to use InDesign and create advanced typography.

Direct Mailers

I designed direct mail handouts for the Oklahoma Route 66 Museum with the Centennial Commission (1 front, 1 back, 2 front, 2 back). The direct mailers were created for targeted and defined stakeholders: tourists and roadies. They were made to attract target stakeholders and generate interest in the Route 66 Museum. I curated brand identity by using identifiable images, colors, typography and the logo. Using Adobe Photoshop, I completed this on June 6, 2024. Creating direct mailers showcased my skills in defining stakeholders and reaching a target audience through design. I learned how to use Photoshop, define stakeholders and create personas.

Social Media Campaign

I designed a social media campaign for the Oklahoma Route 66 Museum with the Centennial Commission (Facebook cover, X cover, Instagram post 1, Instagram post 2, Instagram story). The social media campaign was created to generate interest from the stakeholders: tourists and roadies. They were made to persuade stakeholders to visit the Route 66 Museum. I targeted the different stakeholder groups by using different layouts, imagery and text. Using Canva, I completed this on June 11, 2024. Creating a social media campaign showcased my skills in social media design and catering to different stakeholders. I learned how to use Canva, edit templates and create different social media posts for company usage. Also, the increasing importance of social media in the digital age.

Tour Guide

I designed a tour guide for the Oklahoma Route 66 Museum with the Centennial Commission. The tour guide was created to generate tourists and roadies' interest in the Route 66 Museum in Clinton, Oklahoma. It was made to persuade stakeholders to visit the Route 66 Museum and inform them of events in Clinton, Oklahoma. I targeted the different stakeholder groups by highlighting events unique to their interests. Using Adobe InDesign and Photoshop, I completed the tour guide on June 20, 2024. The cover, created in Photoshop, captivates both stakeholders with rustic design and bolded typography. The rest of the tour guide, created in InDesign, showcased my skills in public relations writing, typography and creating layouts. I learned how to create advanced layouts in InDesign and how to write for a tour guide.

Brochure

I designed a brochure for the Oklahoma Route 66 Museum with the Centennial Commission. The brochure was created to provide additional information about the Route 66 Museum to tourists and roadies. It was made to persuade stakeholders to visit the Route 66 Museum and inform them about the museum's history and exhibits. Using Adobe InDesign, I completed the tour guide on June 27, 2024. The brochure showcased my skills in public relations writing, typography and creating advanced layouts. I learned how to create advanced layouts in InDesign and how to design a tri-fold brochure.

Advertisements

This section showcases several advertisments I have designed showcasing my skill in photography and utilizing Adobe Photoshop. Each advertisement raises awareness and generates attention for a specific brand/product.

Marc Jacobs Ad Design

I photographed and designed an ad campaign for Marc Jacobs Daisy Perfume that includes three advertisements. The advertisement aims to raise awareness for the perfume and showcase its scent profile through floral visuals. I took the photographs on a DSLR camera. I edited the photographs using Adobe Photoshop. I completed this on Oct. 31, 2024.

La Croix Ad Design

I photographed and designed an ad campaign for La Croix sparkling water (Ad 1, Ad 2, Ad 3). The advertisements aim to generate appeal for the new strawberry peach flavor. For this campaign, I used a misting bottle for the water droplet effect. I took the photographs using a DSLR camera. I edited the photographs using Adobe Photoshop. I completed this on Oct. 21, 2024.

Kendra Scott Ad Design

I photographed and designed a Kendra Scott Ad Campaign, which included three advertisements. I utilized lighting techniques and Adobe Photoshop and generated an AI background to achieve a vintage-inspired look for the ads. I took the photographs using a DSLR camera. I completed this on Dec. 2, 2024.

Book Cover

I designed a book cover for The Throne of Fallen Glass, a book written by Ashton Hare, a student in the Professional Writing class. I utilized Adobe Photoshop and AI-generated images and outlines to design a book cover that represented the author's story. I completed this on Dec. 4, 2024.

Research Samples

This section showcases the research presentations and reports I have done in public relations. These reports show my skills in primary and secondary research, as well as qualitative and quantitative research.

OKC Broadway
Research Report

Along with a group of classmates, I conducted a research report for OKC Broadway. In this report, we conducted primary and secondary research. For the secondary research, I researched publics, segmented key publics, and did opinion research. For the primary research, I helped conduct a focus group with eight participants. Additionally, alongside one of my peers, I did the competitor analysis. I completed this report on Dec. 11, 2024.

PR Ethical Dilemma 

Alongside one of my peers, I presented a public relations ethical dilemma regarding the Hims and Hers Super Bowl commercial and the controversy that arose from it. For this presentation, I researched the marketing ethics violated and the backlash that Hims and Hers received after the commercial aired during the Super Bowl. I completed and presented this on Feb. 20, 2025.

PR Success & Failure

I researched and presented two PR campaigns: one that was a success and one that was a failure. The "What's Hot? What's Not?" presentation explored the implications of the failure of the Hims and Hers Super Bowl commercial and the Burger King Moldy Whopper campaign. I researched both campaigns and determined what PR practices led to their success or failure. I completed and presented this on March 4, 2025.

PR Case Study

I presented a case study on astroturfing in public relations and how it relates to Blake Lively's current lawsuit. I explored the implications of astroturfing and compared it to the ethical frameworks of utilitarianism and deontology. Additionally, I applied an analysis based on the PRSA Code of Ethics.  I completed this presentation on March 12, 2025.

Campaign Proposal

I designed a campaign proposal for Phillips 66 with my public relations team, Route Relations. In the team, I act as the research director. I designed a Qualtrics Survey for primary research and helped conduct a focus group of seven participants. Additionally, I did the secondary research that led us to find our key publics, and I helped create the personas for our publics. Furthermore, I assisted with the creating our campaign, slogan, and goals/objectives. I presented this alongside my group on March 26, 2025, to Phillips 66.

Writing Samples

This section showcases my skill in media writing, including public relations, news releases and broadcasting.

PR News Release

I wrote a news release for Safe Kids Oklahoma about driving safety measures to use with Labor Day approaching. I included relevant information and quotations from the Safe Kids coalition coordinator. I completed this on July 7, 2024.

Strategic PR Planning

I applied strategic management principles in public relations to curate a communication plan for the University of Oklahoma's Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. I used STP to segment, target and position the Office of DEI at OU. I presented this plan on Nov. 5, 2024.​

Broadcast Story Package

I wrote a Broadcast Story Package based on a newsworthy Mother's Day story. I conducted interviews and utilized my skills in media writing and multimedia journalism to craft a unique broadcasting outline. I completed this on May 4, 2023.​

Secondary Research

This is the secondary research I conducted alongside my campaign group, Route Relations. We researched Phillips 66, its competitors, key stakeholders and organizational information. This showcased my skills in conducting research and engaging in competitive analysis. I did the organization research and client introduction. I completed this on Feb. 20, 2025.

Local Gov. Memo

Alongside a group of my peers, we wrote a memo documenting the local government in Norman, Oklahoma. We researched the Norman municipalities and the special districts. I conducted the research on the special districts. This project was completed on Feb. 28, 2025.

Local Election Analysis

Alongside a group of my peers, we conducted an analysis on local elections with a focus on the upcoming mayoral election in Norman, Oklahoma. I designed a survey to obtain primary research on election attitudes in Norman, Okla. that was then distributed by my group. Furthermore, I wrote about the literature on city elections, completed the abstract and proofread the paper. This was completed on Feb. 7, 2025.
